Slang and the 3D Shading Language Landscape
DescriptionShading languages have long been essential to using 3D APIs such as Vulkan, OpenGL, and Direct3D. The open source Slang initiative from NVIDIA promises a new generation of shading language productivity and functionality, including neural graphics. This session explores how Slang complements current languages while providing onramps for existing code bases, and enables portability of shader code across multiple platforms including PCs, the cloud, mobile, the web, and Apple platforms.
