Akshat Dave is a final year Ph.D. candidate in the Computational Imaging Lab at Rice University, advised by Prof. Ashok Veeraraghavan. His research interests are at the intersection of vision, graphics, and imaging. He is interested in co-designing cameras and algorithms that exploit unique properties of light to solve challenging physics-based inverse problems. During his Ph.D., he worked as a visiting researcher at MIT Media Lab in Prof. Raskar's group and as a research intern at Adobe Research in Dr. Sunkavalli's group. He received his Masters and Bachelors from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, advised by Prof. Kaushik Mitra.
