Ann McNamara is a Professor and the Associate Dean for Research & Creative Works in the School of Performance, Visualization, & Fine Arts at Texas A&M University. She is also the director of the VIVID Lab, an interdisciplinary lab focusing on advancing data visualization and information design.

McNamara's research uses innovative approaches to improve computer graphics and scientific visualization to enhance the user's experience when creating, viewing, and interacting with virtual and augmented spaces.
