
Biography
Chi-Min HSIEH︱Associate Professor at the Institute of Applied Arts, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University in Taiwan. He holds a PhD in Art, Science and Technologies from Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble in France.
Chi-Min has been focusing on digital performance that integrates dance, computer graphics, animation and interactive technologies. At the moment, he engages in interdisciplinary studies between algorithmic aesthetics and Oriental aesthetics, such as Chinese painting and Japanese aesthetics. The representative works include a series of “imitations of Shan-Shui” focusing on oceanscape, cloudscape and landscape simulation based on atmospheric and volumetric rendering.
