Joel Johnson is a Masters student in Electrical Engineering at the University of British Columbia (UBC), enrolled in the CITech program, a graduate initiative emphasizing immersive technology. He earned his undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from UBC. Expanding his academic horizon, Joel's research encompasses computer graphics, machine learning, immersive technology and game development. Outside of his passion for research, he enjoys rock climbing and skiing, continually challenging himself in both the digital and physical realms.
