Biography
Tobias Klein is an Architect and Artist. His work combines contemporary CAD/CAM technologies with site-specific design narratives, intuitive design processes, and historical cultural references. He coined the term Digital Craft to describe the synthesis of digital and physical materials and tools. His works have been exhibited internationally at prestigious venues including the London Science Museum, V&A, Venice Architectural Biennale, Ars Electronica, and Art Basel Hong Kong. In 2020, a retrospective exhibition of his works titled "Metamorphosis or Confrontation" was held at The University Museum and Art Gallery, Hong Kong. He holds a PhD from RMIT, a Master of Architecture from UCL, Bartlett School of Architecture, and a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from RWTH Aachen. Prior to his time in Hong Kong, he taught at the Architectural Association and the Royal College of Art in London.
