Hiroyuki Sakai received the Ph.D. degree from the Toyohashi University of Technology, Japan, in 2003. After spending almost five years as a Postdoctoral Fellow with the RIKEN Brain Science Institute, he joined Toyota Central Research and Development Labs. Inc., where he currently leads his team in the field of collaborative intelligence. His research interests include neuroscience, ergonomics, and human augmentation.
