Jason is a Research Officer in the The University of Queensland (UQ) Centre for Energy Data Innovation, researching local and remote collaborative work around physical artefacts using mixed reality (incl. AR/VR) technology as a support mechanism. His research interest is in the areas of Computer Supported Cooperative Work, Interaction Design, Mixed Reality, Open Data and Game Design. He has an extensive teaching history in studio based courses within IT and Interaction Design courses at UQ. Outside of UQ, he is a lead organiser of GovHack, the largest open government and open data hackathon in Australia and New Zealand.
