Biography
Dr. Junyong Noh is a Professor in the Graduate School of Culture Technology (GSCT) at KAIST since 2006, where he served as the department head from 2016 to 2020. Currently, he is the Director of the Visual Media Laboratory. He earned the Ph.D. degree in computer science (2002) from the University of Southern California (USC). His current research focus includes facial/character animation, virtual/augmented reality, image/video manipulation for immersive and interactive experiences. Prior to his academic career, he was a graphics scientist at a Hollywood visual effects company, Rhythm and Hues Studios from 2003 to 2006.
