Avirup Mandal received PhD and MTech degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in 2023 and 2018 respectively. Earlier, he completed his BE in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Jadavpur University, in 2015. His research interests include physics-based animation, computer graphics, fracture dynamics, interactive AR/VR techniques and computational haptics.
