Fanglue Zhang is a senior lecturer (equivalent to a US Associate Professor) in computer graphics at Victoria University of Wellington. He earned his doctoral degree, working on structure-based image analysis and editing, at the Visual Media Lab at Tsinghua University in 2015. He continued working as a post-doctoral researcher at Tsinghua, collaborating on research projects with industry, where his research focus was mainly on the intelligent image and video editing and enhancement. He joined Victoria in 2017.

His current research interests include deep learning based image and video manipulation approaches and panoramic 360 image processing for virtual reality applications.
