Astrid Bunge is a PhD candidate and research associate in the computer graphics group at TU Dortmund university. She received her MS in Computer Science (with honors) from the University of Bielefeld in 2020. Astrid Bunge is a practiced speaker and won a TA award in 2019 for her teaching skills. She has previously presented her own work on discrete Laplacians for general polygonal and polyhedral meshes at SIGGRAPH, Eurographics and the Symposium on Geometry Processing. Her research interests include geometry processing in general, and the generalization of the finite element method to arbitrary meshes.
