Lizhuang Ma is a Distinguished Professor of Shanghai Jiao Tong University & East China Normal University, Vice Chairman of AI Institute of SJTU. He is the Director of Animation and Digital Entertainment Commission, the Chinese Society of Image and Graphics. He is also the Deputy Director of the Special Committee on Intelligent Creativity and Digital Art, Chinese Society of Artificial Intelligence. Prof. Ma is the recipient of China National Excellent Young Scientist Foundation, first class member of China National Hundred-Thousand-Ten -thousand Talent Plan. He was awarded the China Ministry of Education Science and Technology Progress Award, Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Progress Award first prize and second prize. His research interests include Computer Graphics and Image Processing, Computer Vision, and applications of AI technology. He has published more than 200 papers, and broken more than 8 world records on world-known data sets in the fields of face recognition and pose analysis.
