Kevin Blackistone

Biography
Kevin Blackistone (US/AT) is a sound and media artist exploring the interactions of our human organism, the ecologies that in which we live and the technologies that we produce using an array of immersive, tangible, participatory and/or performative media. His education includes a BA in Intermedia and Digital Arts (UMBC, US), research with the Laboratory of Neurogenetics (NIH, US), an MA in Interface Cultures (UFG, AT) and a currently pursued MA in the Postdigital Lutherie program (UFG, AT) as well as a recent participant in the Institute for Digital Sciences Austria x Ars Electronica Founding Lab. His awards have included the Johns Hopkins Saul Zaentz Innovation Fund for his immersive installation, the Robert W. Deutsch Foundation’s Rubys Arts Award, and the Leistungstipendium der Kunsuniversität Linz.
