Chek Tien Tan is currently an Associate Professor with InfoComm Technology Cluster at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), where he is also the Director for the Centre for Immersification. In teaching, Chek has won the university Teaching Excellence Award in 2021 and co-designed joint interactive software engineering and design degrees with the DigiPen Institute of Technology. In research, his primary contribution is in the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) but has also published in related fields of Gamification, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Computer Graphics. Chek is particularly interested in applied research and teaching domains to aid development of immersive technologies.
