Biography
Ravi Ramamoorthi is the Ronald L. Graham Professor of Computer Science at the University of California, San Diego and founding Director of the UC San Diego Center for Visual Computing. He is an author of more than 200 publications, including more than 90 at SIGGRAPH; he is a fellow of IEEE and ACM, and a member of the SIGGRAPH Academy. He has received a number of awards, including the PECASE for his work on physics-based vision and the ACM SIGGRAPH Significant New Researcher Award for his work on mathematical representations and computational models for visual appearance. His research interests lie in all aspects of computer graphics rendering and appearance modeling, image-based rendering and neural radiance fields as well as some computational imaging and photography problems, especially light field imaging.
