Fast and Robust 3D Gaussian Splatting for Virtual Reality
DescriptionThe method provides fast and artifact-free rendering of 3D Gaussian Splatting scenes with user-grade VR hardware. We combine prior art and our own contributions to address popping, overly large Gaussians, and performance issues in VR settings to provide a smooth user experience, as confirmed by a small tentative study.
