Optimizing Game Assets Using Differentiable Rendering
DescriptionDifferentiable rendering is a novel technology in computer graphics that integrates the rendering process with the backpropagation algorithm. This technology allows us to exchange consistent rendering appearances as data between different algorithms and systems. However, traditional differentiable renderers have issues adapting to game asset scenarios. Therefore, bridging the gap between differentiable rendering and game asset scenarios is crucial for better integration. In this session, we will introduce how we optimize game assets using differentiable rendering, discuss some attempts in different asset processing tasks, provide an overview of our iterative improvements, and explain how we integrate this with other pipelines.
