SIGGRAPH Asia 2024 will take place from 3 - 6 December 2024. Here are the opening hours for attendees:

Conference3 – 6 December: 09:00 – 18:00 daily
Exhibition

4 December: 11:00 – 17:00

5 December: 10:00 – 17:00

6 December: 10:00 – 16:00

All conference programs and the exhibition of SIGGRAPH Asia will be held at Tokyo International Forum, Japan. (3 Chome-5-1 Marunouchi, Chiyoda City, Tokyo 100-0005, Japan).

About Tokyo, Japan

In Tokyo, December temperatures tend to be around 12ºC (54°F) in the afternoon and drop to about 5ºC (41°F) in the morning and at night.

Tokyo winters are sunny with little rain or snow. The air is dry, with the humidity around this time generally staying at a constant 30%. You will need a coat in December. On some days, gloves and scarves will keep you nice and warm.

The voltage in Japan is 100V and the frequency is 50-60 Hz. The socket is type A, with two flat holes. Using foreign electric appliances will require a frequency converter and plug adaptor.

Yes, you can buy tickets on arrival at the venue during SIGGRAPH Asia from 3 – 6 December 2024. However, please note that on-site registration rates will apply. Credit cards (AMEX, VISA, MasterCard) will be accepted for on-site payments.

Credit card (AMEX/VISA/MasterCard) is the only mode of payment.

You may purchase the Full Access Pass as an ACM student member to enjoy the discounted student rates.

Full Access Pass (ACM Student Member): You must provide your membership number to receive the discount. This ticket allows access to the in-person sessions at Tokyo International Forum, Tokyo, Japan. ACM SIGGRAPH member discount does not apply to those who are members of a chapter only.

Please note that registration tickets are non-transferable, and email addresses cannot be changed or edited. To change or edit your registration details such as personal information (excluding email address), kindly submit a request to us at registration_asia@siggraph.org.

Upon completing your payment, you will receive the confirmation email and official registration receipt. A gentle reminder to all registered attendees to kindly bring along the confirmation email to the onsite venue for your badge printing/collection.

The official receipt will be sent to you together with your confirmation email. If you have not received it, kindly submit a request to us at registration_asia@siggraph.org.

The minimum requirement on dress code is casual and covered shoes are required for men. Shorts, singlets, bermudas, and slippers are not allowed for entry into the Exhibition Hall and Conference sessions.

No, there are no age-based restrictions to attend the event.
Please be aware that parts of the event may contain adult content, graphic images, or violence.

Visa

In general, travellers who wish to enter Japan are required to obtain a visa from the Embassy or Consulate General of Japan. To apply for a visa, a foreigner must possess a passport or travel document which will remain valid during the period of stay.  In addition, travellers have to obtain a visa in advance to enter Japan. The applicant will be issued with a type of visa in accordance to his or her purpose of visit.  For more information on types of visas and general requirements for each type of visa, please visit the website of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

Travel & Safety

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, vaccination certificates and pre-departure tests are no longer required to enter Japan. Travelers and returnees with COVID-19 symptoms will no longer be subjected to on-arrival testing. Travelers with a positive COVID-19 test result will not be treated at designated facilities.

Although the government will not impose restrictions on COVID-19 patients and their close contacts, you should take precautions to prevent spreading the virus to other people if you feel sick.

Venue

The venue - Tokyo International Forum (TIF) is located approximately 53 minutes from New Tokyo International Airport, Narita, Japan via the JR Narita Express to Tokyo Station (5 minutes’ walk from Tokyo Station). If you are coming from Haneda Airport, it is 23 minutes to Hamamatsucho Station by Monorail and 4 minutes from JR Hamamatsucho Station to Yurakucho Station (1-minute walk from Yurakucho Station).

It is also accessible by Car and Limousine Bus by Shuto Expressway via 4 exits: Kasumigaseki Exit, Kandabashi Exit, Takaracho Exit and Kyobashi Exit.

The convenient alternative to reach TIF is via the Subway. There are 6 Lines that connect directly to the venue: Yurakucho Line, Hibiya Line, Chiyoda Line, Marunouchi Line, Ginza Line and Mita Line. Click here for the Tokyo Metro Subway Map.

Yes, parking is available at Tokyo International Forum, but the parking lot can get crowded on weekends and during events. There are 417 spaces for passenger cars (including 7 accessible spaces and 1 EV space) and 10 spaces for motorcycles in the B3F parking lot.

Operating hours of the parking lot is from 07:00 – 23:30 daily and it will be closed outside of the hours. Parking rates as follows:

Passenger cars ¥200/30 min while motorcycles are ¥100/60 min.

Vehicles accommodated: Those not exceeding 2.2m in height, 1.9m in width, and 5.4m in length, including any loads and attachments. No bicycles allowed.

Yes. ATMs are available at the Tokyo International Forum. Here are their locations:

  • Seven Bank ATM (First floor Tokyo Station side of the Glass Building)
  • Japan Post Bank ATM (Inside Famima!! On B1F underground concourse)

Should you have misplaced your items, please head to the lost & found desk located at the Glass Building inside the Security Center on B1F floor. The operating hours will be from 07:00 to 23:30.

Pay lockers are available in the following five locations:

  • Infront of Famima
  • Beside Famima
  • Next to Tokyo Station (Keiyo Entrance) on B1F,
  • In the Glass Building on B1F of the Yurakucho side
  • B1F of the Tokyo Station.

Free public Wi-Fi is available in public areas such as the lobby, Underground Concourse, and Plaza, provided by the following two companies: Softbank Wi-Fi & UQ WiMAX. (Information as of 1 November 2023 here)

In conformance with the Tokyo Metropolitan Welfare City Planning Ordinance and other laws and ordinances, the Tokyo International Forum has installed some barrier-free facilities to cater to guests who may require the services.

Wheelchair Elevators are located at the following locations:

  • JR Tokyo Station Entrance B2F-1F
  • Glass Building: B3F General Parking Lot, B1F, 1F, 4F-7F
  • B1F-B2F hall E lobby
  • B1F Yurakucho Line Connecting Passage

Wheelchairs are also available at information desks, the Security Center, and main halls as first-aid supplies.

For parents, nursing rooms are also available, and they can be located next to Cafe Lexcel on B1F of the Glass Building. The opening hours will be from 09:30 – 18:30, kindly request for the key access via the intercom available and the staff will bring the key to you.

Nursing room facilities: 2 private nursing rooms with curtains, 1 diaper changing station, 1 formula preparation station, 1 sink.
