In Hong Kong, December temperatures tend to be around 20ºC (68°F) in the afternoon and drop to about 15ºC (59°F) in the morning and at night. It has been known to reach as high as 26°C (78.8°F) and as low as 10°C (50°F).

December is one of the driest months of the year, together with November and January. December rainfall totals average 21mm, with expected rains for an average of four days during the month of December.

The voltage in Hong Kong is 200V and the frequency is 50Hz. The socket is type G, with three rectangular prongs arranged in a triangular shape. Most hotel bathrooms also have outlets for 100 volts, but if not, you will need a transformer for any appliance or electrical equipment.

Yes, tickets can still be purchased onsite — but all registrations must be completed online via the official registration portal. We strongly encourage attendees to register using their mobile devices for faster access. Should you require assistance, our onsite staff will be available to help you complete the registration process.

The registration portal will remain open until 18 December, 16:00 (GMT+8, time in Hong Kong). Accepted payment methods include credit cards (AMEX, Visa, MasterCard) and Alipay*.

Please note that on-site rates will apply for tickets purchased during the event period (15 – 18 December 2025).

*Alipay payments are only available to accounts registered in China. Overseas-registered accounts are not supported.

Credit card (AMEX/VISA/MasterCard) is the only mode of payment.

Starting from 2025, Chinese delegates will be able to checkout using Alipay, creating a smoother registration experience. Please note that Alipay payments are only supported for accounts registered in China, and overseas-registered accounts are not eligible to use this method.

You may purchase the Full Access Pass as an ACM student member to enjoy the discounted student rates.

However, please note that the Full Access ACM Student Member ticket is already available at a special rate for student members. As such, additional discounts do not apply.

Full Access Pass (ACM Student Member): You must provide your membership number to receive the discount. This ticket allows access to the in-person sessions at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Hong Kong. ACM SIGGRAPH member discount does not apply to those who are members of a chapter only.

Once your payment is successfully completed, you will receive a confirmation email along with the official registration receipt. Please remember to bring this confirmation email with you to the venue for onsite badge printing and collection.

The minimum requirement on dress code is casual, and covered shoes are required for men. Shorts, singlets, bermudas, and slippers are not allowed for entry into the Exhibition Hall and Conference sessions.

No, there are no age-based restrictions to attend the event

However:

  • Children aged 12 and below do not require registration but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Children aged 13 and above must register and hold a valid ticket.
Please note: Some parts of the event may feature adult content, graphic images, or violence.

Visa/Entry Requirements

Nationals of approximately 170 countries and territories can visit Hong Kong without a visa/entry permit for a period ranging from 7 days to 180 days depending on nationality. For the latest guidelines and any special exclusions, please refer to the Immigration Department of Hong Kong.

Mainland China
As stipulated in Article 22(4) of the Basic Law, residents of Mainland China must apply and obtain approval from local authorities to enter Hong Kong. For more details, please visit the Immigration Department of Hong Kong.
Overseas Chinese passport holders & Chinese residents of Taiwan
PRC passport holders living overseas wishing to enter Hong Kong for purposes such as visiting, employment, training, study or residence must apply for an appropriate entry permit. For more details, please visit the Immigration Department of Hong Kong.

Travel & Safety

There are currently no special health declarations, testing, or vaccination requirements for entry into Hong Kong. Attendees are encouraged to follow standard hygiene practices and check for any travel updates closer to the event date.

The venue – Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) is approximately 40 – 70 minutes away from the Hong Kong International Airport by public transport. Click here for the Hong Kong MTR System Map.
By Bus – Take Bus A11 to Western Harbour Crossing Bus-Bus Interchange
– Transfer to Bus 961 to Wan Chai (HKCEC) Bus Terminal
(Estimated time: 70 mins)
By MTR (Train) – Take the Airport Express Line from Airport Station to Hong Kong Station
– Transfer to Island Line, alight at Wan Chai Station.
(Estimated time: 40 mins)
As the iconic architecture of HKCEC is situated proudly on the waterfront of Hong Kong’s world-famous Victoria Harbour, visitors may also arrive at HKCEC via Wan Chai Ferry Pier and take a 5-minute walk from there. The ferry can be boarded from Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry Pier and the journey will take approximately 15 minutes. Click here for the Ferry Services and schedule.
If you are arriving by the High Speed Rail connecting Hong Kong to China, you will arrive at the Hong Kong West Kowloon Station. Take a 10-minute walk to Austin MTR Station and continue your journey with Tuen Ma Line to Hung Hom before switching to East Rail Line to Exhibition Centre MTR Station.

  • Convention Plaza Car Park (Harbour Road)
  • Expo Drive Central Car Park (connected to HKCEC Phase 2).

If you have lost any items during the event, please head to the Conference Management Office (location to be advised) or to the HKCEC Customer Service Counter located at the Harbour Road Entrance (next to the HK Ticketing Box Office).

Yes, free public Wi-Fi is available throughout the venue including exhibition halls, meeting rooms, public areas, and HKCEC restaurants. Please note that the HKCEC adopts a fair usage policy with a 240-minute usage limit of each session of complimentary Wi-Fi service upon successful login for each device and users can login again for the complimentary Wi-Fi service after each disconnection.

  1. Enable Wi-Fi on your device and select “HKCEC WiFi Complimentary”
  2. You will be connected to the login web page. If not redirected automatically, please open a browser and access “hkcec.com
  3. Accept the terms, and click “Connect”
  4. You are now connected

The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre offers a full range of amenities to assist visitors with disabilities including the braille directory and tele loop system, and welcomes guide dogs.
Spacious guest lifts readily accommodate wheelchairs, and major entrances are ramped. Users can charge their electric wheelchairs at the designated parking space located next to the HK Ticketing Box Office at the HKCEC Harbour Road Entrance if needed. There are also tactile guide paths at two main entrances, specially designed toilets and telephone booths. The two car parks adjacent to the HKCEC provide bays reserved for drivers with disabilities.
