After studying digital animation at a technical college, Tannawa worked at the same school for a year as a part-time lecturer. In 2005 he joined STUDIO４℃ as a member of the CGI team and worked on the film “Tekkonkinkreet”, after which he pursued the integration of 3DCG and traditional animation as a CGI Director. In 2014 he established the CGI Department at MAPPA and served as its head. From 2019 he has acted as a producer mainly responsible for overseeing all aspects of digital production including 3DCG and Compositing. His major works include “Dorohedoro”, “Attack on Titan Final Season”, “JUJUTSU KAISEN” and “Zombie Land Saga”. In 2023 “Chainsaw Man” received an Award of Excellence in the TV/Streaming Anime CG Category at the VFX-JAPAN Awards 2023.
