Yongjae Yoo is an assistant professor in Department of Applied Artificial Intelligence at Hanyang University ERICA. He received B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, POSTECH, South Korea, in 2011 and 2019 (with the Best Ph.D. Thesis Award), respectively. He received a Global Ph.D. Fellowship of National Research Foundation of Korea during his Ph.D. years. After graduation, he worked in McGill University, Canada, as a Postdoctoral Researcher. His research interest includes multimodal human–computer interaction, haptic applications in VR/AR. He received several paper awards including the Best Paper award of IEEE Transactions on Haptics 2023.
