James Lucas is a senior research scientist in the Toronto AI lab at NVIDIA. Before that he completed his PhD under the supervision of Rich Zemel and Roger Grosse at the University of Toronto. His research focuses on improving the data efficiency of machine learning systems and on improving/applying deep generative models. He is a hobbyist game developer and is particularly excited to develop AI tools for creating content in video games.
