Biography
Erwin Wu is an Assistant Professor at the School of Computing in the Institute of Science Tokyo, also a visiting researcher at the Robotics Institute, Carnegie Mellon University, and a research fellow at Sony CSL. He received his Ph.D. and M.Sc. in computer science from TokyoTech under Prof. Hideki Koike, and his B.Sc. from Shanghai Jiao Tong University under Prof. Xinghao Jiang. His research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Mixed Reality, with key work in pose forecasting for sports training, 3D body/hand pose estimation, VR/AR/MR visualizations, and DL-based interaction prediction.
