Born in 1960, Japanese animation mechanical designer, and director. In 2010, I founded SOLA DIGITAL ARTS with producer Joseph Chou. Since the 1980s, I have also worked as a mechanical designer for anime, on titles such as Genesis Climber MOSPEADA (known as part of ROBOTECH in the US), Megazone 23, NADOX-01, and Gasaraki. My major directorial works include Captain Harlock, APPLESEED, Starship Troopers: Invasion, and Appleseed Alpha. I have co-directed with director Kenji Kamiyama on ULTRAMAN, Ghost in the Shell: SAC_ 2045, and Blade Runner: Black Lotus.
