Saito holds a Ph.D in New Media from Tokyo University of the Arts. His research focuses on insights into human perception and cognition and their extension through media technology, and his activities cover a wide range of fields including motion graphics, product design, concept design, and exhibitions. Awarded Japan Media Arts Festival Excellence Prize, Laval Virtual Grand Prix, Emmy Award, Prix Italia Grand Prize, New York Art Directors Club Gold Prize, D&AD Pencil Award, and oneshow Gold Prize. His works have been shown at Ars Electronica Center, 21_21 Design Sight, ggg (Ginza Graphic Gallery), and SIGGRAPH.
