Ryan Overbeck a software engineer, researcher, and manager specializing in immersive image-based experiences, and currently leads the ML, Computer Vision, and Graphics R&D team for Project Starline at Google. Dr. Overbeck holds a PhD in computer science from Columbia University and a BA in physics from the University of Rochester. Dr. Overbeck seeks to create beautiful and immersive visual experiences that bring people face-to-face with others who are far away; teleport them to new, exciting, and fantastical places; and embed them in stories.
