
Biography
Victoria Szabo is a Research Professor of Visual and Media Studies and Gender, Sexuality and Feminist Studies at Duke University. She also directs the PhD program in Computational Media, Arts & Cultures and the Information Science + Studies lab. Her work ranges from digital cultural heritage archives research and applications development to artist's games produced as part of the Psychasthenia Studio collective. She is especially interested in experience design in hybrid reality systems, and in new forms of multimodal, archives-driven, and place-based narrative. She is the past Chair of the ACM SIGGRAPH Digital Arts Community and current Chair of the SIGGRAPH Arts Advisory Group.
