Shalabh Bhatnagar is a Professor with the Department of Computer Science and Automation and the Robert Bosch Centre for Cyber Physical Systems, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

His areas of interest include stochastic approximation algorithms, stochastic control and simulation based optimization. He also studies engineering applications of these algorithms in autonomous systems, wireless networks, smart grids and intelligent traffic control.

He is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Control Systems Letters and the Systems and Control Letters journals.
