Asako Kimura is a professor at Ritsumeikan University. She received Ph.D. degrees in engineering science from Osaka University, Osaka, Japan, in 2001. She worked at Osaka University from 2000 to 2003, before coming to Ritsumeikan University. She was concurrently a Special Project Associate at the Biomedical Imaging Resource Laboratory, Mayo Clinic, from 2001 to 2002, and a Sakigake Researcher of PRESTO Japan Science and Technology Agency, from 2006 to 2010. Her research interests include human-computer interaction, human perception, augmented/mixed reality, and virtual reality.
