Sebastian Herholz is currently finishing his PhD in computer science at the University of Tübingen.
His main research focus is on light transport algorithms, with a focus on importance sampling and guiding techniques for surface and volume rendering.
From July to October 2017 he did an internship at the Charles University in Prague, where he worked together with Jaroslav Krivanek on algorithms for volumetric path guiding.
During another internship at Weta Digital in Wellington, he was able to test the outcome of his research in a production environment.
Sebastian is a passionate downhill mountain biker, who likes to travel around.
