Gerard Jounghyun Kim received a bachelor's degree in electrical and computer engineering from Carnegie Mellon University (1987), and a master's (computer engineering, 1989) and Ph.D. (computer science, 1994) from the University of Southern California. He is currently a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Korea University. Before joining Korea University in 2006, he was a professor at Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) for 10 years. His research interests include virtual/mixed reality, human-computer interaction, and computer music. He is a member of IEEE. (Based on document published on 1 September 2015).
