Ryusuke Sugimoto is a PhD candidate in computer science under the supervision of Prof. Toshiya Hachisuka and Prof. Christopher Batty at the University of Waterloo. Before this, he received my bachelor's degree in computer science and mathematics from HKUST, where he worked with Prof. Pedro V. Sander. His research interests lie in computer graphics, particularly in physics-based animation. In his PhD studies, he focuses on the use of integral equations and Monte Carlo methods for non-rendering tasks.
