Seiichi Uchida is a Distinguished Professor and an Executive Vice President at Kyushu University, Japan. His research interests include image informatics, especially document image analysis and recognition (DAR). He received the 2007 ICDAR Best Paper Award and many other awards. He was a program chair at DAR-related conferences, such as ICDAR2021 and DAS2022.
