Yuji Hatada is an Assistant Professor at the Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies, The University of Tokyo. His research interests are in the crossing domain of virtual reality, human-computer interaction, cognitive science, and philosophy, where he has especially been exploring the cognitive and narrative transformations that users experience through avatars and human augmentations, as well as technologies for designing their narrative selves. He received his Ph.D. (Interdisciplinary Information Studies) in 2023, M.E. in 2020, and B.E. in 2018 from The University of Tokyo, respectively.
