Hideaki Nii is a Researcher (Part-time) at Keio University Graduate School of Media Design. He began his academic journey at the University of Electro-Communications, completing his doctoral course in mechanical engineering in 2006 without a degree, later earning his Ph.D. in Engineering in 2008. Nii's career spans various institutions, including positions as assistant professor at the University of Tokyo (2007), senior assistant professor at Keio University (2009), and researcher roles at the National University of Singapore (2010) and IIJ Innovation Institute, Japan (2012). He worked as an engineer at VIVITA Inc. (2017) before joining Keio University in 2024.
