Issei Fujishiro is currently the head professor of the Center for Information and Computer Science, Keio University, Yokohama, Japan. He received his Doctor of Science in information sciences from the University of Tokyo in 1988. His research interests include modeling paradigms and shape representations, applied visualization design and lifecycle management, and smart ambient media with multi-modal displays. He is presently appointed as an associate member of Science Council of Japan. He is a fellow of JFES and IPSJ, an honorary member of IIEEJ, and a senior member of IEEE and ACM, as well as an inductee to IEEE Visualization Academy.
