Manfred Lau is an Assistant Professor in the School of Creative Media at the City University of Hong Kong. He was previously a post-doc researcher in Tokyo at the Japan Science and Technology Agency - Igarashi Design Interface Project. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, and his B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from Yale University. He has worked in a number of areas and can review papers in these areas: perception (of 3D shapes and other types of media), human-computer interaction, sketch-based interfaces, and 3D modeling and digital fabrication. In addition, he has worked in the animation area in the past, but it has been a number of years since he has published in this area.
