Ana Lacaze, “Inside Out 2” Character Supervisor, joined Pixar Animation Studios in 1997 as a Lighting Technical Director on “A Bug’s Life”. She has held many positions since: VFX Supervisor, Shading Lead, Lighting Lead, etc. As a Tools Liaison, she has helped shape Pixar’s shading technology. She has also shaded many of Pixar’s beloved characters including: McQueen, Mater, Carl, Arlo, Spot, Ian, etc.
She was born in Uruguay and earned her Electrical Engineering, Fine Arts and Math degrees at the University of Pennsylvania.
Before Pixar, Lacaze worked briefly at Los Alamos National Laboratories as a Nuclear Physics Researcher.
