Takashi Maekawa
Biography
Takashi Maekawa holds the position of Adjunct Researcher at Waseda University Research Institute for Science and Engineering and a Professor Emeritus at Yokohama National University. Prior to his academic career, he gained practical experience as a product design engineer at Bridgestone Corporation. His research encompasses a diverse range of areas, including geometric modeling, additive manufacturing, NC machining, and the development of path planning algorithms for autonomous vehicles.
He received a B.Eng degree and a M.Eng degree in mechanical engineering from Waseda University (Japan), and a Ph.D. in the field of computer aided design and manufacturing from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA) in 1993.
