Marc Droske
Biography
Marc joined Weta’s rendering team in 2014 to work on Manuka. He is now Head of Rendering Research to
oversee the advancement of its technology to meet growing demands of movie production.
Before, Marc worked for Mental Images and NVIDIA’s
Advanced Rendering Center in Berlin focussing on geometry processing algorithms
and high-performance GPU-based physically-based rendering. Marc has studied
mathematics at Bonn University, received a PhD from Duisburg University and held a
post-doc position at the University of California,
Los Angeles with research interests in geometric variational methods, partial
differential equations, inverse problems and Finite Element methods in
image processing.
