Dr. David Yip is a veteran in creative industries and media education with over 20 years of experience. He's an Assistant Professor and Associate Professor of Practice in Computational Media and Art at HKUST(GZ), with a joint appointment at HKUST. Dr. Yip holds an EdD from the University of Bristol and degrees from UC Berkeley and USC. He's worked in Hong Kong's TV and film industry, founded programs at City University and Hong Kong Metropolitan University. Active in applied projects and consultancy, Dr. Yip has published book chapters, conference papers, and serves as a reviewer for various academic conferences.
