Kelvin Cheng is an R&D Manager at Rakuten Mobile, Inc. He is actively promoting and strategizing the use of XR for creating future immersive consumer experiences and business use cases, together with a variety of technologies, and mobile technologies such as 5G and Edge Computing. He received his Ph.D. from The University of Sydney in 2009. Since then he has worked at Australia's national scientific agency CSIRO and at the National University of Singapore, focusing on the area of Human-Computer Interaction. He joined Rakuten Institute of Technology, part of Rakuten Group, Inc. in 2017, and subsequently Rakuten Mobile Inc.
