Dr. Gavin Miller is the head of Adobe Research. Dr. Miller graduated with a Ph.D. from Cambridge University, and then worked at Alias Research Incorporated as the Project Lead of Natural Phenomena, before joining the Advanced Technology Group at Apple, where he worked on research related to the simulation of natural phenomena and interactive multi-media. After Apple he worked at Interval Research Corporation, where he developed low-latency head-mounted displays as well as one of the first real-time light field television systems. Since 2000 he has worked on networked 3D worlds (Adobe Atmosphere) as well as 2D and 3D capabilities for Adobe products.
