SkiWalkerVR: Towards Naturalistic Virtual Walking Using Hand Movements and Foot Vibrations
DescriptionWe introduce a novel VR walking method with arm swinging that predicts head and foot positions from real-time hand movements using multi-output linear regression. A foot vibration system is also integrated to provide haptic feedback to the feet when predicted feet touch the ground for a highly immersive walking experience.
