Submission Deadline: 25 August 2025, 23:59 AoE.

SIGGRAPH Asia 2025 Educator’s Forum invites researchers, developers, and educators from both academia and industry to present innovative research outcomes, methods, and developments related to the educations of computer graphics and interactive techniques as well as the application of computer graphics and interactive techniques in all areas of learning.

Along with this year’s SIGGRAPH Asia conference theme “Generative Renaissance”, the Educator’s Forum aims to build bridges between educators at different stages and educators in different fields, including preschool, primary school, secondary school, and college educators. This forum can provide an international and active platform for conducting interdisciplinary research collaboration and improving educational practices for computer graphics and interactive techniques.

We believe the education is a foundational and core part of emerging techniques, arts and games, forming a bridge among diverse communities and generations. We wish to support the evolving integration of art and technology embraced by educators. As an international gathering of industry professionals and academics, the Educators Forum will present perspectives that appeal to a wide spectrum of interests. We will share educational strategies adopted in both industry and academia to make the learning process more satisfying, productive, and meaningful.

The program is seeking submissions for:

  • Education Papers: Peer-reviewed academic papers presenting research and case studies relevant to the forum (20 mins).
  • Education Talks: Short presentations covering newly developed works, ideas, and projects still in progress (10 mins).
  • Education Workshops: Workshops could be a course with hands-on activities and/or short lectures with discussions. The subject of submissions should focus on knowledge and activities that educators and students can apply to their teaching and learning in Computer Graphics, Interactive Technology, Animation, Digital Art, Video Games and other related fields (1 hour).
  • Education Panels: Multi-speaker presentations and discussions on a topics relevant to the forum attendees. Generally, there are up to five people (including a moderator), who present ideas and give individual perspectives (1 hour).
Expanded versions of selected papers and talk abstracts will be recommended to the editors of prominent international journals and be considered for publication in the prestigious journals, including Computers & Graphics (CAG), IEEE Computer Graphics and Applications (IEEE CG&A) and Metaverse (APASCI).

Education Papers and Education Talks should build upon previous research, reference related works, and include an evidence-based discussion on the educational benefits. Best education paper awards will be selected by the committees among the presented education papers and talks at SIGGRAPH Asia 2025.

We encourage the collaboration with the other submissions categories in SIGGRAPH Asia 2025, and look forward to the submissions related to art education in Art Papers, computer graphics education in Technical Communications and education for interactive techniques in Emerging Technologies.

Submissions related to academic curricula should have discussions beyond introduction of a specific program. Please include a brief explanation on how the program fits within the educational system of your country/region to facilitate better understanding by an international audience. We are seeking works that would benefit other educators and researchers, and fill the gap between research and education communities to facilitate the potential collaborations.
Promotions of commercial products or school programs should be presented in the Exhibition program.
If the review committee determines that the content is more appropriate for other parts of the SIGGRAPH Asia conference, submissions may be sent to other programs.

Education Workshops and Education Panels

Education Workshops at SIGGRAPH Asia 2025 are designed to provide hands-on, practical learning experiences for educators and students in computer graphics, interactive technologies, animation, digital art, and related fields. These 1-hour sessions focus on delivering actionable knowledge through a mix of short lectures, interactive activities, and group discussions. Workshops should emphasize tools, techniques, or methodologies that participants can directly apply to their teaching or learning environments. Submissions must include all necessary materials, such as activity guides, software/hardware requirements, and assessment tools, to ensure seamless integration into educational settings.
Education Panels offer a platform for multi-speaker discussions on timely and relevant topics in computer graphics education. These 1-hour sessions typically feature up to five participants, including a moderator, who present diverse perspectives and engage in thought-provoking dialogue. Panel topics should address emerging trends, challenges, or innovations in teaching and learning, such as the impact of generative AI, curriculum redesign, or industry-academia collaboration. Proposals should outline the panel’s structure, key discussion points, and expected outcomes, ensuring a balanced and engaging experience for attendees.
Both Workshops and Panels are expected to align with the broader goals of the SIGGRAPH Asia Educator’s Forum, fostering innovation and collaboration in education. Submissions should clearly define their target audience, prerequisites, learning outcomes, and assessment methods. Accepted proposals will be made available in the ACM Digital Library, ensuring wide accessibility and long-term impact.
We encourage submissions that explore interdisciplinary applications, such as integrating computer graphics with STEAM education, medical visualization, or performing arts. Proposals should emphasize practical, scalable, and engaging approaches that inspire educators and students alike.
Please contact the SIGGRAPH Asia 2025 Educator’s Forum Chair if you would like to consider other presentation formats.
