Traditionally, teachers select themes for expre ssive movement from daily life and guide students, but it is challenging t o employ a standardized approach to fostering children's creativity. Conse quently, instructional methods often rely on the teacher's subjective judg ment. This reliance hinders the development of children's creativity and e motional expression while imposing a significant burden on teachers. We pr opose StoryDanceMR, an educational tool integrating expressive movement ac tivities with storytelling. This system uses a normal RGB camera and a pro jector to capture students' gestures and visualize them on a screen using particle effects, and promotes creative improvisational expression. By emp loying interactive visualizations of diverse story-based movements, we aim to enhance a variety of physical movements to express emotions and though ts. A user study in a Japanese elementary school has demonstrated that Sto ryDanceMR increases student engagement in lessons and improves creative ex pression skills from both physical and linguistic perspectives. Additional ly, it provides teachers with a consistent instructional framework, potent ially enhancing educational quality. It integrates physical and intellectu al activities, offering a new approach to storytelling and dance education in elementary schools.\n\nRegistration Category: Enhanced Access, Full Ac cess, Full Access Supporter\n\nLanguage Format: English Language\n\nSessio n Chair: Haoran Xie (Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (J AIST)) URL:https://asia.siggraph.org/2024/program/?id=edu_110&sess=sess293 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
