SUMMARY:Art Gallery Talks 1
DESCRIPTION:Art Gallery\n\nTheme: Neither Utopia Nor Dystopia\n\nAt SIGGRA
PH Asia 2024 in Tokyo, the Art Gallery seeks to present groundbreaking and
impactful creations that intersect art, science, technology, society, and
the environment. In an era of information saturation, where the essence a
nd veracity of matters may blur, we champion concrete expressions to reaff
irm our reality, moving beyond mere idealism.\n\nThe theme “Neither Utopia
Nor Dystopia” eschews the stark dichotomy often portrayed between utopian
and dystopian extremes, crafting a realm for patient engagement with the
manifold aspects of reality and fostering the gradual maturation of values
. This thematic direction nudges artists to uncover the subtle allure, int
ricacy, and profundity inherent in our day-to-day lives, urging them to cr
aft palpable visions.\n\nThrough the distinctive lenses of artists, we asp
ire to recalibrate our perception of the interplay between society, the en
vironment, and technology, thereby enriching our collective comprehension.
We envisage a tapestry of works that, at times, unveil hidden truths and
beauties, and at other times, navigate the intricate web of emotions and r
elationships, culminating in a corporeal portrayal of our world. In alignm
ent with these themes, the SIGGRAPH Asia 2024 Art Gallery casts a wide net
, eagerly soliciting a spectrum of artistic endeavors, spanning artworks,
projects, performances, platforms, and communities.\n\nJoin us at the SIGG
RAPH Asia 2024 Art Gallery in Tokyo, Japan, as we question, explore, and e
ngage with the intricate and multifaceted realities of our times.\n\nSeman
tic See-through Goggles\n\nSemantic See-through Goggles are a kind of spec
tacles, through which the view is once totally verbalized and then re-imag
ed. The view, in which much of the spatial positioning and material has be
en reworked, however, does indeed convey the meaning of the scene in front
of it.\n\n\nGoki Muramoto (University of Tokyo), Yuri Yasui (University o

match between the artists is fed through a generative AI pipeline to expos

The entire piece comprises three parallel threads, represented by surveil
