SUMMARY:Curves Harvesting: Dynamic Morphogenesis through Thermodynamic Scu
 lpting of 3D Printed Structures
DESCRIPTION:Art Papers\n\nZiyuan Jiang, Ruoqi Li, and Yasuaki Kakehi (Univ
ersity of Tokyo)\n\nCurves Harvesting explores dynamic morphogenesis throu
gh thermodynamic sculpting of 3D-printed structures. This installation uti
lizes polylactic acid's thermal properties to transform planar modules int
o complex curved surfaces. By controlling water temperature and tension, i
t balances deterministic design with environmental unpredictability. A com
prehensive design library examines the influence of various parameters on
resulting morphologies. The project challenges static sculpture concepts,
offering insights into adaptive architecture and sustainable design. It co
ntributes to the dialogue on technology, art, and nature in contemporary p
ractice, providing a new framework for understanding form generation and e
nvironmental adaptability.\n\nRegistration Category: Enhanced Access, Full
