SUMMARY:Godzilla Minus One
DESCRIPTION:Kiyoko Shibuya, Masaki Takahashi, and Takashi Yamazaki (SHIROG
UMI INC.) and Keiichiro Moriya and Go Abe (ROBOT COMMUNICATIONS INC.)\n\nI
n postwar Japan, Godzilla brings new devastation to an already scorched la
ndscape. With no military intervention or government help in sight, the s
urvivors must join together in the face of despair and fight back against
an unrelenting horror.\n\nFrom renowned director, screenwriter & VFX visio
nary Takashi Yamazaki (The Eternal Zero, Stand By Me Doraemon) comes GODZ
ILLA MINUS ONE, a film about the power of home in the face of despair.\n\n
The film stars Ryunosuke Kamiki, Minami Hamabe, Yuki Yamada, Munetaka Aoki
, Hidetaka Yoshioka, Sakura Ando, and Kuranosuke Sasaki, with music by Nao
ki Sato.\n\n[Accomplishments]\n\n- The best Visual Effects at the 96th Aca
demy Awards, marking the first time an Asian film has received.\n- Godzill
a Minus One is the highest grossing Japanese Film in US Box Office History
.\n\n[Innovations]\n\nWhile there are only 610 VFX shots, they account for
two-thirds of the total runtime.\n\nTo maintain photorealistic expression
while reducing the workload, we filmed many scenes in parking lots with r
oad conditions similar to the era, utilizing the shadows and effects of pe
ople and objects.\n\nIn this production, about 35 core members were respon
sible for the creation, but there were only 5 dedicated FX artists. The re
st of the staff consisted of generalists who handled multiple roles.\n\nNo
t only the VFX team but also the filming staff share the final image.\n\nO
ne of the reasons why such optimization of VFX is possible is that the dir
ector himself creates storyboards, holds meetings with many staff members,
and the scene construction staff directly creates pre-visualizations and
then returns to the storyboard. By repeating this process for over two mon
ths, we achieve significant results.\n\nRegistration Category: Enhanced Ac
cess, Full Access, Full Access Supporter\n\nLanguage Format: English Langu
 age\n\n
